PPS

PPS

Polyphenylene Sulfide

PPS is a thermoplastic with a molecular structure that forms very stable crystal lattices from a thermal point of view and this allows to reach a high melting point of about 285°C.
Several chemical corrosion tests on PPS have shown that there are no solvents that attack the material at temperatures below 200°C.

The main characteristics of the material are summarized below:

  • Thermal stability
  • Chemical resistance
  • Dimensional stability
  • UL94 V0 flammability

Nylon PA12

Nylon PA12

Polyamide

This filament has remarkable durability, flexibility, and corrosion resistance.

Polyamide 12 has become indispensable in almost all areas of engineering, for a wide range of components and applications.

Advantages:

  • Strong impact resistance
  • Low coefficient of friction
  • Good corrosion resistance
  • It absorbs less moisture than other Nylon filaments

Nylon GF

Nylon GF

Polyamide + Glass Fiber

Nylon GF offers good mechanical, chemical and dielectric properties.
The mechanical characteristics improve exponentially by increasing the percentage of glass fiber.

Above all the stiffness and the compressive strength.

Also thermal resistance and dimensional stability are improved, with a marked decrease in thermal expansion.

The use of materials containing glass fibers is ideal for applications where maximum stability over time and mechanical strength are required.

Nylon Carbon

Nylon Carbon

Polyamide + Carbon Fiber

This filament has a good heat and breaking resistance.

Nylon gives toughness and strength, while the carbon ensures lightness and printability.

Printed parts are durable and rough to the touch, with a slightly metallic effect.

ASA

ASA

Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate

ASA is a thermoplastic often used in place of the most common ABS for applications where it is necessary to combine resistance to atmospheric agents and high mechanical characteristics while guaranteeing an excellent aesthetic finish.

Thanks to these characteristics, it is used both in the production of aesthetic and functional prototypes and in the production of pre-series or final parts.

The peculiarity of the material remains the thermal stability to UV.

PET

PET

Polyethylene Terephthalate

PET is a versatile material, one of the most used types of plastic in the world.
Good layer adhesion, stronger than PLA.

PET is widely used to produce food and beverage containers and bottles.
It can be printed with water-soluble BVOH support material.

CNT

CNT

Conductive (Carbon Nanotubes)

CNT is an excellent choice for applications that require low voltage circuits, projects with touch sensors, and the need to interact with touch screens that require low conductivity.

The material is loaded with Carbon Nanotubes and is printed with the same simplicity as the normal PLA (same printing parameters).

It can be used with electronic components that require a 1 KOhm resistance.
Therefore it's possible to make connections with Arduino.

BVOH

BVOH

Butenediol Vinyl Alcohol co-polymer

BVOH is a water soluble support material for double-extrusion 3D printing.

It has advantages over the traditional PVA:

  • Dissolves in water faster than PVA and is easier to remove from the print.
  • Does not collect ambient moisture as much as typical PVA, which makes it more reliable.

SMART ABS

SMART ABS

Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (improved)

SMART ABS is an improved, high performance ABS.

It is enriched with an elastomer that allows bonding with TPU or with water-soluble BVOH support, during the double extrusion.

This formula prevents warping and improves the mechanical properties of printed parts.
